Founded in December 2000, Ophthonix, Inc. has introduced the first ever wavefront-guided correction solution that actually addresses the vision problems associated with the higher order aberrations of the eye. The company is led by Stephen J. Osbaldeston and a management team that averages 15 years of experience working with leading vision care industry companies such as CIBA Vision, Bausch & Lomb, Heidelberg Instruments, Zeiss Humphrey, Laser Diagnostic Technologies, Novatec, Intelligent Surgical Lasers, Coherent, Calhoun Vision and Johnson & Johnson Vision Care, Inc.
Working in partnership with Eye Care Practitioners, Ophthonix utilizes patented technologies to achieve optimized vision correction. The company's fully integrated process includes the Z-View® Aberrometer, the first wavefront instrument for dispensing practitioners, to determine the patient's unique optical fingerprint or iPrint™. It measures lower and higher order aberrations of the eye. This comprehensive iPrint powers customized iZon® High Resolution Lenses, which are available in both single vision and Progressive Addition Lenses. iZon wearers have described their vision as High-Definition vision, dramatically improving the sight of today's consumers beyond anything previously attainable.
